took "the long way home" a few days ago to stop at a store that had strawberry and peach.....(skipped the peach)....
asked friend if she wanted a European format strawberry smoke or American....she didn't care so we both had a "Kastner" and we loved it.......this list has taught me it's about "changing up, try stuff, etc)..then, in typical MC fashion, I headed to another store to dive into the unpopular "Island Margarita".....this went into the Rizla cig size for same friend.....again, a smash sucecess... anyway, I like the idea of people asking for a smoke and watching for a reaction to flavoring .....Now I am very interested in finding greater availablity of People's True Taste flavors, which come in even more than previously reported, and sizes...like 2oz pouches, I think? here is a link I found that I like-:)[link]

I bought the New York Vanilla, even though the thought of a flavored tobacco didn't sound too good. This was really good. I gave one to my hubby (who is picky)and he liked it also. We have been smoking about one or two a day. I did notice that after about 4 days in the pouch, The vanilla flavor wasn't as strong (maybe I didn't seal the pouch as well as I should have, though it was rolled up). This is really good though and now I'll have to try out some other vanilla flavored tobacco.

Tried out the new york vanilla. It had a wonderful aroma of vanilla to it and smells great when burning also.As for the taste,I found it harsh and very dry,but I could taste a hint vanilla in there when smoking it.I also noticed that the vanilla smell stayed on my hand and lips for hours after the smoke.Nice to have around for something different that smells wonderful, but I would not smoke more than one per day.

Like another poster, I broke down yesterday and purchased some Strawberry and Peach. My expectations were a little low since I've never relly fooled around with flavored tobacco, but I gotta admit I was surprised by the Wildfire Strawberry. The tobacco was perfectly cut, clean and moist--I had to dry it out a few minuted before stuffing, but it stuffed a treat in the ol' PS.

The smell from the pouch reminded me of freshly cooked strawberry preserves, but the taste knocked me out. It had an excellent aroma and a womderful taste--mild for a Top tobacco, I thought (I stuffed an El Rey Light tube). While I certainly wouldn't make it my everday smoke, I can most def picture enjoying one after dinner with a cup of espresso (in fact I've enjoyed one after dinner both evenings now). An excellent "dessert" smoke for sure, and one that just might surprise you. I haven't tried the peach yet, but hope to give it a try tomorrow.

Well.... The curiosity got the best of me :-) I was in the local tobacco shop the other day and couldn't help myself..I bought a packet of New York Vanilla, Velvet Peach, Cherrie's Jubilee and Sunrise Strawberry.. It was supriseingly different, I enjoyed each of them with the Vanilla being my favorite..They all had good flavor (not over whelming) I even mixed a few of them together like 50% Vanilla and 50% Cherry, this was very good as well.. Even though I don't believe that I would want to smoke this all the time, it is a welcome change and a pleasure after a meal or with a good hot cup of coffee..The wife also enjoyed a few sticks of these as well with the Cherry's Jubilee being her favorite..The Top tobacco is a bit harsh (strong) with tobacco being some-what dryer than I like.. Maybe all it needs is a bit of rehydrating..All in All I give it two thumbs up, I'm afraid to try the Island Margarita (Listerine-flavored) haha..

Personally I like the Zen Smoke flavored tobacco rolled up with one of the Juicy Jay's flavored papers. I find the flavors from Top are too sugary and make me feel sick after smoking.

The Vanilla was the best. I have even used it to mix with good British Columbian marijuana as it covers up the smell while I drive to work. Great product!

So far I have only tried the peach flavor. I have grown to like it. I haven't tried blending it yet though. It might be good mixed in with some vanilla tobacco.

Wildfire Flavor Cigarette Tobacco

This is lifted from the NACS Show website:

"Introducing Wildfire™ premium quality cigarette tobacco available in five exotic flavors! Capitalize on explosive RYO/MYO category growth and the popularity of flavors by offering the finest flavored tobacco in colorful packaging that bursts with flavorful appeal. Available in the tasty flavors of Cherries Jubilee, Sunrise Strawberry, New York Vanilla, Velvet Peach and Island Margarita, Wildfire is packaged in ¾ oz. stay-fresh foil pouches which are available in a convenient, multi-flavored 36-count retail display. Each pouch makes approximately 25 cigarettes and includes free cigarette papers. 144 pouches packed per case; MSA signatory."

I've tried three of them so far, Island Margarita, Sunrise Strawberry, and Velvet Peach. If Listerine made a tropical flavored tobacco it would taste like the Island Margarita, blech! Smells bad, tastes bad and aftertastes bad. I'm not kidding, it really smells like Listerine. I usually try to be generous when reviewing tobaccos, but this was by far the foulest tasting tobacco I have ever smoked.

Concerning the other two, the Velvet Peach is the most palatable. The 'triple infused' flavor is strong enough to taste when only a half ounce is blended with over eight ounces of other tobaccos. This is true of both and although neither is foul like the Island Margarita, they both leave you with that fuzzy tongue feeling after smoking several.

As always, give them a try for yourself. At $1.45 for 3/4 oz you won't be out much if you don't care for them. $31.00 per pound.

Tim,

Where are you getting these? I might give the cherry and vanilla a try, but I think I'll pass on the Listerine-flavored tobacco.

I stopped into the local tobacco shop to pick up some tubes, I seem to run out faster than my wife for some reason, and there was a display on the counter. Let me know if you can't find them anywhere and I'll pick some up for you. As far as vanilla goes I like Sportsman the best, my wife likes Lookout better.

I absolutely LOVE the Velvet Peach and would like to get it in bulk rather than the small pouches. Any ideas???

Harvest Peach at RYOTobacco may be worth a try. I'd also be interested in what you think of Lil' Brown's Double Take. Its not advertised as flavored but it smells/tastes very peach-like to me.

My local smoke shop got the vanilla for me in packs of 12, and gave a nice discount. It never hurts to ask.
