August, 2013. Is this site/forum still active?
I've attempted to contact Sun Butler's site, Organic Smoke...without success.   Sotoya..and Grandad...have been non operational for some time.. Does anyone know if Butler has another site ..and if his farms are still in operation?
I prefer to buy leaf......and his was the best!!
Thanks.

So, what did you order and how does it compare to other SYO/MYO tobaccos? I can't say I'd want to press/cut my tobacco all the time but it does look interesting.

Sotoya Ceremonial Tobacco Company
Posted by Sun Butler on Thursday, 02-Jun-2005

Organic tobacco farmers are now selling certified organic tobacco in whole leaf form through Sotoya Ceremonial Tobacco Company. Sotoya promotes a respectful meditative approach to tobacco use encouraging our customers to explore the spiritual aspects of tobacco by using it sparingly in its natural cured whole leaf form.
Recently we developed an at-home system for cutting your own rolling tobacco from cured whole leaf bought straight off the farm. A tobacco press built according to our instructions and a deli-style meat cutter will allow our customers to produce fine and shag tobacco rag suitable for ryo and syo for about $12/lb. For more information on buying whole-leaf tobacco and making your own cigarette tobacco contact us by email or visit our website at www.sotoyatobacco.com
