Gambler
Nice tubes. The lights are the same as Top (different logo) and just like the old/new Zig-Zag's. The lights have a white tip with gold bands and name/logo. Laser cut filter perforations and offset seams. Made in Austria. ~$2.00 per 200.

The Gambler light is a beautiful tube. It is too bad they poke holes in them.

People seem to be saying good things about these tubes, and they certainly look great.
My first carton of them is well packed, no crumpled ones, and they look just as good up close.
However, the paper burns twice as fast as my other tubes (Windsail (FF & Elite), Premiere Light, Vera Cruz Elegante).
The cherry gets 1/2 inch long in just a minute or two. My tobacco wonders why it's up there burning naked.
Anyone else noticed this problem - and are they maybe using new paper?- Re: Gambler Tubes (lights) - perforations

... and I have to say I'm not happy to see my precious smoke flying out of the filter perforations.
Guess I may have to give up on finding the perfect white-tipped FF tube. :-/- Re: Gambler Tubes (lights) - perforations

I've given the Gambler lights a try on a couple of occasions and noticed they burn very fast as well. There really isn't much of a choice when it comes to white-tipped light tubes, however; Premier, Zig Zag and the Gamblers are among the only ones (if not the only ones). I like the Zig-Zag lights (king size) for smoking brightleaf Virginia tobbacos, but which they'd tone down the amount of holes around the filter.

For taste, I way prefer FF tubes -- but yeah, because of my white tipping jones I've been experimenting with the "light" versions.
I just opened up the box of Gambler Lights again just to look at them, lol. The pic barely does them justice. MAN these things are plain gorgeous. Really, really beautiful.
It is just a dang shame they smoke like recycled toilet paper.

I've never tried the lights but a convenience store here sells the full flavor for $1.29 so I tried a couple of boxes. Had trouble getting them to fit on the nozzle of my supermatic.

These are excellent tubes. They seem to burn slower, do not add flavor and are very well made. These will be my tube from now on OR until they change manufacturing somehow and stop being good like so many others.

Highly recommended.

Sometimes I would get a box that fit too tightly on my Supermatic. I would end up throwing a lot away because they were too small. This didn't happen with every box, but it happened too often for my tastes. I do like the tubes though.

Hello, We use gambler tubes all the time and this last box we bought from admiral gas station about half of the box the tubes are too small for the roller. I have 2 rollers and it is too small for both of them.

Good tube. Almost exactly like the Zig Zags, taste slightly different. The Zig Zags are slightly better even though these are cheaper.

The only problem I've encountered with the Gambler tubes (FF) is size variations. Every now and then, I'll get a box that is simply a little too tight for my SuperMatic. Other than that, they are a good tube, and quite inexpensive locally.

Just picked up a few boxes of these to try. They seemed to pack extremely tight on my top o matic (I tryed a premier just to see if i was packing to much tobbaco in the chamber but the premier packed fine).Anyway i adjusted the amount of tobacco and tryed them out. The tobacco tasted a little harsh in these and too much smoke coming out of the filter perforations. The perforations are large. So i not sure if i just got a bad batch of these tubes (slightly undersized and perforations too large?). I think i'll be sticking with the zen and pemier tubes as these allow the flavor of the tobacco to come through and stuff a lot easier. I just got into SYO a month ago because of the cost. Then found how great the tobacco really tastes. So now I'm just trying to find tubes that allow the flavor of tobacco to come through. The gambler's (for my taste anyway) just didn't work out.

I picked up a couple of boxes of the Lights, myself. The large perforations are a drawback, IMO. I think I'll stick to the Gambler FF tubes, which are available locally for $1.49 a box.

Before I got into MYO, I smoked lights in pre-mades. So, just starting out I went with the light tubes. Once I got into MYO completely I found Gambler tubes, but found very quickly that their light tubes were just too light for me, especially since I stuff my sticks fairly firm.

With the firmly packed sticks I have found the FF Gambler tubes to be quite good and fairly consistent. Not to mention I can get them locally although they went up from $1.49 to $1.69 recently.

I recieved a box of Gambler Full Flavor Tubes from a Wesco where I live and some of the filters in the tubes are too far in and when I stuff my cigarette the tube is shoved out. I hope someone will read this and figure out what the problem is and fix it. It is a big inconvenience to neither have to use a different tube or cut the end of the filter.

Gambler tubes are my prefered brand. I have tried Premier, Tops, Zig Zag and El-Ray.

Gambler beats them all for stuffing, followed closely by El-Ray, but at the price I get Gambler tubes locally, $1.49 a box, none compare.

My normal brand. The full flavors do not have an offset seam. Come to think about it I had a box of lights a month or so ago and I don't recall them having gold bands or offset seams.. but I could be wrong.

Can someone confirm this? Is (was?) CTC making Gambler as well??

I recently purchased some Gambler light tubes from lilbrown, and they looked just like the posted picture and were labeled "Made in Austria." So I don't think CTC is making the light tubes, no idea about the full flavors. I like the tubes, but wish they had a little longer filter element and smaller vent holes. The tubes smoke alot like a Lucky Strike light, they also have large filter holes.

My guess is that he was thinking of Zig-Zag which used to be exactly like Gambler until CTC started making them.

Gambler/Top and ElRey do seem to let more air through/be lighter than the Silver Tip's.
I'd also like to see a longer filter element. Seems to me they should be like premade's, close to tipping paper length.

My favorite tubes, and cheap $1.59 per 200. They seem to be the same as Top tubes.
