Smokers Select
Inexpensive tobacco that's similar to Peoples Pride. A reasonably clean, shaggy medium-fine cut tobacco. The Light makes for a decent base in blends. LT, FF, M and ML.

I picked up a 7oz bag of the light from Lil' Brown for $2.50. It was extremely dry. After rehydrating, it was still harsh and had, what I call, commercial tobacco flavor. I went ahead and used all 7oz's to blend with and will have to suffer through it this week.

It's not the worst tobacco out there, but H&R light and Stoker's are better blends.

I find the light a bit harsh/bitter and lacking in interesting/subtle flavors (pretty common in this price range). I do like the medium shaggy cut. Its stuffs well and is better for blending than the coarser/shorter Peoples Pride and H&R.

I have been doing a bit of housecleaning, trying to use up some unfavored/strong tobaccos by blending/diluting them. I've been mixing Smokers Select Light with tobaccos like the Mynheer's (50/50), Jester (70/30), Butterfly (90/10) and Amsterdam Shag (50/50). The strength and/or any slight negatives of the two tobaccos are diluted. I'm enjoying the results more than the individual tobaccos. Halfzware/Smokers Select Light blends could become regular fare.
