My first RYO tobacco to be packaged in a tin (50g), this is a beautiful fine-cut, highly aromatic (fruity?) golden colored shag. Very good moisture content as well.
While not inexpensive by any means, this is a wonderful "dessert" tobacco. I primarily inject tobacco using the Big Blue, but this particular tobacco is far too good to adulterate the flavor with a filter IMO, so I roll myself one or two sticks of the Fairmorn per day, when I have the time to truly enjoy them. Smooth, flavorful, and enjoyable.
Side note: The tobacco was so well compressed into the tin, that I've probably rolled 20 or so cigs, and only used one corner of the tin's worth.
Will order again, and probably try the Dark Fired next time, too.
Cheers!

The first tin I received was extremely dry. RYO Cigarette replaced it with another tin that wasn't quite as dry, but still needed rehydrating. Rehydrated and fluffed, 100g fills a 150g Drum can.

Chas Fairmorn is an extremely fine cut shag, that I found to be very clean with little birdseye. Stuffed into a Gizeh Silver Tip Charbon tube, it is very rich and robust, strong, yet smooth. Currently smoking it mixed 50/50 with Arango Sportsman Vanilla, and it's realllly good together.
I would highly recommend as an occasional treat for anyone who enjoys a halfzware.- Re: Chas Fairmorn Dark Fired Shag

Ditto. Clean and dark, rich and tasty. Easy to smoke but packs a punch. 50/50 with American Spirit Original is good, 50/50 with Export 'A' adds spicy qualities.

Very high quality leaf with a silk cut. Rolls easily but the cut strands are short so there is some amount of loose shake. A rich, full flavor but not overpowering or harsh. There seems to be no typical halfzware flavoring at all. To expensive to smoke all day but a real treat. Only Bali Shag Rich Virginia comes close in flavor and quality. Well worth the high price.

My preference goes to mild light Virginias and blends like Danish Export, Bali Golden Shag, and McClintock Virginia. This Fairmorn is mild but more full flavored, about halfway between my favorites and the even more flavorful London Export. Unlike the others cited here, the Fairmorn tin I purchased contained some rather large pieces of birdseye and even a couple of stems. The moisture content wasn't high or low, so I suspect it will stuff into tubes straight from the tin, although I've been a hand-roller since the late 'sixties. Overall, it's a high quality, overpriced treat.
