slight crank machine tweak??
Posted by mike c on Monday, 19-Nov-2007
is there a real simple way to tweak a machine to put just a tiny bit more baccy in the tube
I'm a ten-tap guy, and want my Rizla + tubes to end up flush afterward
only one of my machines does this currently
thanks

Oh yes, thank you for asking.
Make sure both ends of chamber are over-stuffed into corners (nozzle end and ram/spoon end of chamber). Barely tamp middle.
Then make sure knife is making a clean sheer, if need be, cycle crank/knife 2 or 4 times to make sure a clean tobacco sheer.
Put a teflon bumber on tube release arm (bottom of machine) for smooth/instant release of cig. tube at exact time. If necessary push cig. tube back onto nozzle a little before releasing/returning crank handle.- Re: slight crank machine tweak??

I am a bit confused, which is just natural for me
I use absolutely NO time release, so no problem there.....the nozzle on this machine doesn't stick out very far, and was wondering if that could be to do with it
I have just had some good results putting a bit more tobacco in, I just wish the results were as consistent as my regular machine
also, nobody fills corners any better than me...I've mastered it
as far as a bumper, I'm confused, and a child's explanation per your time would be greatly appreciated!!!

I use a Top-O-Matic set for 100 mm's (I take off the little insert that shortens the tobacco chamber) and regular size tubes. After tapping, I snip any extra tobacco off with a pair of scissors. I end up with a perfect cigarette.
